I believe this was made by DAYTON.  1909 Ambulance Pressed Steel Friction Toy Car Truck RARE Nice Shape 11” Long. Super early toy Ambulance, probably one of the first made. Has a patent date of April 27 1909 on the hood. Measures 11” long and stands 7” high. The front wheels turn. The driver and steering wheel are missing. Everything about this is all original- even the paper labels are mostly all intact- they do have wear on the one side as seen though. Paint is in really nice condition especially for being 110 years old. The rear wheels move via a friction mechanism which doesn’t really work. You cant turn the wheels but you can turn the mechanism by hand from underneath and then the wheels move. I didnt want to try and force anything. From a fresh to the market estate where it had probably been in the family since it was new. No makers name that I could find out. Super rare and very early Ambulance toy. Free shipping
